Center Airbag Sensor Assembly: Removal

  1. SHIP MODE SETTING 
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  3. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH REAR (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  8. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER 
  10. SHIP MODE CONFIRMATION 
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  12. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET 
  14. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  15. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  16. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
  17. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 clamps from the airbag sensor.
    2. Disconnect the 3 airbag sensor connectors.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and airbag sensor.
