Removable Roof Auxiliary Catch: Installation

- INSTALL SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
- Install the 2 screws and limit switch to the auxiliary catch.
- TEMPORARILY INSTALL REMOVABLE ROOF AUXILIARY CATCH ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, temporarily install the auxiliary catch with the 2 screws.
- Connect the connector.
- ADJUST REMOVABLE ROOF AUXILIARY CATCH ASSEMBLY RH
- Close the roof by its own weight from the half open position.
- Measure the retract amount of the roof lock.
- Measure the distance A between the front header and roof panel at the point where the roof stops without locking.
HINT:
- Measure the retract amount without contact with the roof panel.
- Mark the point at which the measurement was performed.
- Lock the roof and measure the distance B between the front header and roof panel.
HINT:
Measure at the same point as in the previous step.
C (Retract amount of roof lock) = A - B

- Measure the distance A between the front header and roof panel at the point where the roof stops without locking.
- Adjust the auxiliary catch.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, adjust the removable roof auxiliary catch assembly RH to mark C within the specified value.
Standard:
C = 3.5 +-1 mm (0.14 +-0.04 in.)
If C is not as specified, adjust the catch by turning the adjusting screw.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, adjust the removable roof auxiliary catch assembly RH to mark C within the specified value.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the auxiliary catch with the 2 screws.
Torque: 22 N*m (224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
- Install the roof headlining from the vehicle's rear direction.
- Install the 2 clips.
- INSTALL ROOF FRONT CORNER HEADLINING RH
- Attach the 2 clips to install the corner headlining.
- INSTALL ROOF FRONT CORNER HEADLINING LH
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side.
- INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Install the map light with the 2 screws.
- Install the courtesy lens.
- INSTALL VISOR HOLDER
- Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
- INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
- Install the visor with the 2 screws.
- INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

Use the same procedures described for the RH side.
- INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER RH
- Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.
- INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER LH

- INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.
- INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
- Install the front door opening trim cover.
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

- INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH
- Attach the 5 clips and claw to install the scuff plate.
- INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

- FULLY CLOSE ROOF PANEL
- Fully close roof panel (see MANUAL CLOSE OPERATION ).
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see
INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the from the negative (-) terminal.
