Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (MIRROR RETRACT FUNCTION) 
    1. Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check the mirror retract function.

      Multiplex network door ECU front LH, RH (driver, front passenger door ECU) 

      DRIVER, FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ECU SPECIFICATION

    B: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH (DRIVER DOOR ECU) 

    C: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT RH (FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ECU) 

    A: Go to Next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH OR RH BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D19 or P11 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage: 

      Multiplex network door ECU front LH (driver door ECU) 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D19-6 (BDR) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

      Multiplex network door ECU front RH (front passenger door ECU) 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P11-6 (BDR) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance: 

      Multiplex network door ECU front LH (driver door ECU) 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D19-1 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

      Multiplex network door ECU front RH (front passenger door ECU) 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P11-1 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next step 

  3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH OR RH (RETRACTABLE MIRROR MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the R14 or R15 mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the retractable mirror.
      NOTE:
      • Disconnect and reconnect the battery once between each mirror position check.
      • The mirror position cannot be changed manually when the battery is connected. To change the mirror position manually, the battery must be disconnected first.

      OK

    B: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT RH (FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ECU) 

    C: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 

    D: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH
