Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION) 
    1. Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the driving position memory switch.

      OK: Driver side seat can be moved using driving position memory switch. 

    NG:  GO TO FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM

    OK: Go to Next step 

  2. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (REGISTRATION OF SEAT MEMORY SWITCH) 
    1. Check that the memory operation is properly completed. A buzzer sounds when the door mirror position and mirror facing direction are memorized.
      NOTE:
      • If the SET, M1 and M2 switches are pressed simultaneously, the mirror facing direction will not be memorized.
      • If the operation fails, the mirror facing direction will not be memorized until the SET switch is turned off.
      • The mirror facing direction will not be memorized when the mirror is operated manually.

      OK: Driver side seat can be memorized using seat memory switch (for driver side). 

    OK: NORMAL 

    NG: Go to Next step 

  3. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (SEAT MEMORY FUNCTION) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the seat memory function.

      Position control ECU (for driver side)

      OK: On tester screen, each item changes between MEM and NOT MEM according to above chart. 

    OK: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU (for Driver Side) 

    NG: Go to Next step 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SEAT MEMORY SWITCH - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH [DRIVER DOOR ECU]) 
    1. Disconnect the D20 switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the D18 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D20-1 (E) - D18-23 (MSWE) Below 1 Ω
      D20-4 (M2) - D18-15 (M2) Below 1 Ω
      D20-3 (M1) - D18-16 (M1) Below 1 Ω
      D20-2 (MRY) - D18-24 (MM) Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH
