Ignition Coil: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 6 ignition coil connectors.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY 
    NOTE:
    DO NOT APPLY OIL TO THE BOLT LISTED BELOW:

    Tightening Parts
    No. 1 Surge tank stay and Cylinder head cover
    1. Install the No. 1 surge tank stay with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N*m ( 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Install the bolt and clamp.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 79
  6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 9
  7. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER CENTER BRACE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16
  9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 97
  10. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 98
  11. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 99
  12. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 100
  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization procedure. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE:

      Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
