- CHECK FOR DTC
- Check for DTCs.
- Using the Techstream, check which ECU output the DTC.

- Using the Techstream, check which ECU output the DTC.
- Check for DTCs.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER SEAT MOTOR FUNCTION)
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power seat motor function.
Driver Seat

Motor operates normally.
NG: Go to step 7
OK: Go to next step
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power seat motor function.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - FRONT POWER SEAT POSITION SENSOR LH)
- Disconnect the e46 switch connector.
- Disconnect the e43 sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the e43 sensor connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POSITION CONTROL SENSOR)
- Reconnect the e43 sensor connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage

- Recheck for DTCs.

NG: REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (See REMOVAL )
OK: END (SYSTEM RETURNS TO NORMAL)
- CHECK FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (POWER SEAT MOTOR)
- Check the operation of the power seat motor (lifter motor).
- Check if the seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

- Check if the seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.
- Check the operation of the power seat motor (lifter motor).

- Disconnect the e45 and e46 switch connectors.
- Disconnect the e44 motor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
