Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Check for DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      C1632/5C-60 reappears A
      C1632/5C-60 reappears and C1AE5/5C-5D or C1AEE/5C-5E appear B
      No DTCs are output C

    B: GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    C: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK ULTRASONIC SENSOR 
    1. Check if mud, ice, snow or other foreign matter is attached to the sensor.

      OK: 

      No foreign matter on sensor 

      NG: CLEAN ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

      OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR) 
    1. Replace the ultrasonic sensor (see REMOVAL ) with a normally functioning sensor.

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Check for DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      C1632/5C-60 reappears A
      No DTCs are output B

    B: END (ULTRASONIC SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE) 

    A: REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU  (See REMOVAL )
