Reverse Signal Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE)
- Enter the "Display Check" mode (Vehicle Signal Check Mode). Refer to DISPLAY CHECK MODE .
- Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever operation.

Shift Lever Position Display R ON Except R OFF HINT:
This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual change in the switch.

- CHECK REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU (BACK-UP SIGNAL)
- Disconnect the L59 display connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
- Disconnect the L59 display connector.
- Disconnect the S63 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L59-13 (REV) - S63-1 (BCK1) Always Below 1 Ω L59-13 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
- Temporarily replace the ECU with a new or normally functioning one.
- Check that the multi-display displays the rear view of the vehicle when the shift lever position is changed to R.RESULT
