Injector Driver: Removal: Removal
NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/ close the doors while the battery is connected.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
- REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE:- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE HARNESS . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 30
- REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER
- Disconnect the 8 injector driver connectors.
- Disconnect the 6 connectors with wire harness locks and the 2 connectors without wire harness locks from the 2 injector drivers.
HINT:
To release each connector lock, push the claw downward ("Release" in the illustration) and move the lock lever ("Move" in the illustration).
- Disconnect the 6 connectors with wire harness locks and the 2 connectors without wire harness locks from the 2 injector drivers.
- Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 injector drivers with bracket.NOTE:
Be careful not to drop or strike the injector driver.
- Remove the 8 nuts and 2 injector drivers from the bracket.
- Disconnect the 8 injector driver connectors.
