Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (D-IG1-3) 
    1. Remove the D-IG1-3 fuse from the driver side junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTOR SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D-IG1-3 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (IR SENSOR) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the infrared rays sensors are functioning properly.

        OK: The display is as specified in the normal condition. 

    NG: Go to step 3 

    OK: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER  (See REMOVAL  )

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INFRARED RAY SENSOR - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the X13 infrared ray sensor connector
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard resistance

      X13-1 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE INFRARED RAY SENSOR  (See REMOVAL  )
