Steering Control Ecu: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU 
    1. Install the ECU with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      HINT.

      • Securely attach the hook (B) of the ECU to the blower.
      • Align the positioning boss (A) of the blower with the hole of the ECU

    2. Connect the 3 ECU connectors.
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 
  4. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  6. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  9. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform variable gear ratio steering system calibration (see INITIALIZATION  ).
