Inspection Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING Intelligent tester OR TECHSTREAM (DISTANCE CONTROL SWITCH) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the distance control switch.
      1. Intelligent tester

        RADAR CRUISE

        DIAGNOSTIC NOTE NORMAL CONDITION CHART

        Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition
        DIST CTRL SW Distance control switch signal/ON or OFF ON Distance control switch is ON
        OFF Distance control switch is OFF
      2. Techstream

      Radar Cruise

      DIAGNOSTIC NOTE NORMAL CONDITION CHART

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition
      Distant Control Switch Distance control switch signal/ON or OFF ON Distance control switch is ON
      OFF Distance control switch is OFF

    OK: Display changes according to steering pad switch with modulator (distance control switch) operation described in above table. 

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

  2. READ VALUE USING Intelligent tester OR TECHSTREAM (STEERING PAD SWITCH WITH MODULATOR) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the steering pad switch with modulator.
      1. Intelligent tester

        STEERING PAD SW

        DIAGNOSTIC NOTE NORMAL CONDITION CHART

        ACC SW Steering pad switch with modulator signal/ON or OFF ON Steering pad switch with modulator is ON
        OFF Steering pad switch with modulator is OFF
      2. Techstream

      Steering Pad Switch

      ACC SW Steering pad switch with modulator signal/ON or OFF ON Steering pad switch with modulator is ON
      OFF Steering pad switch with modulator is OFF

    OK: Display changes according to steering pad switch with modulator (distance control switch) operation described in above table. 

    NG: REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH WITH MODULATOR  (See INSTALLATION ).

    OK: REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU  (See REMOVAL ).
