Key Reminder Buzzer does not Sound: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Operate the ignition switch. Check if DTC B2780 is output.RESULT:
Result Proceed to DTC B2780 is not output A DTC B2780 is output B
B → GO TO ENGINE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
A: Go to next step
- Operate the ignition switch. Check if DTC B2780 is output.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (KEY REMINDER BUZZER)
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the key reminder buzzer.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Key Remained Buzzer Combination meter warning buzzer OFF / ON OK
Key reminder buzzer is sounding.
OK → REPLACE COMBINATION METER ECU
NG: Go to next step
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the key reminder buzzer.
- CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Open the driver side door and check that the map light illuminates.
OK
Map light illuminates.
NG → GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Open the driver side door and check that the map light illuminates.
