Charging (Service Information): Generator: Removal: Removal
- PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD) NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
- REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 27
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 5
- REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
- REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
- DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
- Remove the 3 nuts (A) and disconnect the wire harness.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors (B).
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the terminal cap.
- Remove the nut (A) and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
- Remove the bolt (B) and clamp bracket.
- Disconnect the generator connector, and detach the 2 clamps.
- Remove the nut, and disconnect the generator bracket.
- Remove the 2 bolts and generator.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 generator brackets.
