DCM(Telematics Transceiver): Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 1 telephone bracket with the screw.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 telephone bracket with the 2 screws.

  4. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET 
    1. Install the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (30 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect each connector.
  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 7
  6. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 1
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 9
  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 15
  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side. Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 28 .

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side. Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 30 .

  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 22
  12. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 23
  13. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 24
  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer toINITIALIZATION .

  15. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light. Refer toDIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
  16. DCM ACTIVATION 

    HINT: 

    When replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), perform vehicle contract setting. Refer toDCM ACTIVATION .
