Steering Angle Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1 .
      NOTE:
      • Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
      • Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  3. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  4. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  5. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  6. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  7. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  8. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

    Refer to the procedure from Install Steering Wheel Assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
