Front Speed Sensor: Removal: Removal
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- The front speed sensor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the front speed sensor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front axle hub sub-assembly.
- PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD) NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR WIRE
- Disconnect the front speed sensor wire from the front speed sensor.
- SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 2
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (for Floating Type Caliper) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (for Opposed Type Caliper) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the front axle hub sub-assembly. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
