Hybrid Transaxle (Service Information): TCM: Removal: Removal
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .
NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work. Refer to PRECAUTION .
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
- REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 21 .
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 22 .
- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 20
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 24
- REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the transmission control ECU assembly from the ECU integration box.
