Cold Start Injector: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD) 
    NOTE:

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    HINT: 

    Refer to PRECAUTION .

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  5. REMOVE COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the cold start injector connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and 2 gaskets, and disconnect the fuel tube from the cold start injector.

      NOTE:

      Do not fold or bend the hose.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, gasket and cold start fuel injector assembly from the surge tank.
