DTC P0724: Brake Switch "B" Circuit High: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Stop Light Switch.
4. Read the values displayed on the Techstream.

   OK

   Item	Measurement Item: Range (display)	Normal Condition
   Stop Light Switch	Stop light switch status: ON or OFF	ON: Brake pedal is depressed OFF: Brake pedal is released

NG → See step   2 

OK → See step   5 

1. Check the stop light switch assembly installation. Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 1 .

   OK

   Stop light switch assembly is installed correctly.

NG → SECURELY REINSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Inspect the stop light switch assembly. Refer to INSPECTION .

NG → See step   6 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Brake Pedal Operation	Specified Condition
   A5-13 (STP) - Body ground	Depressed	7.5 to 14 V
   	Released	Below 1.5 V

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (STOP LIGHT SWITCH - ECM)
