Yaw Rate And Acceleration Sensor: Installation: Installation

NOTE:

While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

  1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR 
    1. Connect the sensor connector.

    2. Install the sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Make sure the yaw rate sensor's identification number is 9.
      • Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
      • Do not mistaken the installation direction of the yaw rate sensor.
      • When installing the yaw rate sensor, make sure to avoid impact to the sensor.
      • After the installation, check that the yaw rate sensor is not tilted due to the floor carpet or any foreign matter.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 
    1. Install the No. 1 duct with the 2 clips (labeled A).

    2. Attach the connector clamp (labeled B).
  3. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  4. INSTALL CONSOLE COVER LOWER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  5. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  6. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  7. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  8. INSTALL NO. 3 BOX PANEL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  13. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  14. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform yaw rate sensor zero point calibration. Refer to CALIBRATION .
  15. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR SIGNAL 
    1. Check the yaw rate sensor signal. Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE .
