Automatic Transmission (Aa80E) (Service Information): TCM: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL TCM

    1. Install the TCM with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 4 connectors.
  2. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER

    1. Install the engine room ECU cover with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 7.8 N*m (80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH 
  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the air cleaner inlet cover with the 2 clips.
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  6. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  7. CHECK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM PRECAUTION 
    1. After replacing the TCM, certain procedures are necessary. Refer to PRECAUTION .
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
