Brake Control Power Supply: Installation: Installation

NOTE:

While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY BRACKET 
    1. Install the 2 brackets with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not drop the brake control power supply. If the brake control power supply has been dropped replace the brake control power supply with a new one.

  2. INSTALL BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the brake control power supply with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  4. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  5. INSTALL TOOL BOX (w/o Spare Tire)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  6. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire) 
  7. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16
  8. INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  9. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Air Conditioning System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  11. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  13. INSTALL ROPE HOOK  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  15. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
  16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  17. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC 
    1. Check and clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
