Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] ).

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ] ).

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 )

  7. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  8. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. for RH:
      1. Disconnect the sensor connector from the vehicle side connector.

    2. for LH:
      1. Disconnect the sensor connector from the vehicle side connector.

    3. Disconnect the grommet of the speed sensor wire from the hole of the wheel house.

    4. Disconnect the rear height control sensor connector.

    5. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 sensor clamps.
    6. Disconnect the pad wear indicator connector.

    7. Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.
    8. Disconnect the rear speed sensor connector.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
      • Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.
  9. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR RH 
    1. Remove the bolt and sensor.

      NOTE:
      • The speed sensor is easily damaged. When pulling out the speed sensor from the axle hub, do not use excessive force to rotate and remove it.
      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
      • Do not drop the sensor. If the sensor has been dropped replace the sensor with a new one.
