Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 or PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 or PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 or PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 or PROCEDURE - Step 21

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 or PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the clamp from the air cleaner.
    3. Disconnect the VSV hose.

    4. Disconnect the 4 clamps.

    5. Remove the hose clamp and air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
  8. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank.
    3. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    4. Remove the throttle body with motor assembly and gasket.
