Removal [09/2017 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ]
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal negative connector cover.
Remove in this Direction - Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - ]
- Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal negative connector cover.
- REMOVE BATTERY
- Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal connector cover.
Remove in this Direction - Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the cable from the battery insulator.
- Remove the nut.
- Disengage the guide and remove the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly.
- Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
- Remove the battery from the vehicle.
- Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal connector cover.
