Removal [09/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal negative connector cover.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal connector cover.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

    3. Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the cable from the battery insulator.
    4. Remove the nut.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly.
    6. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.

    7. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
