Reassembly [01/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the fuel pump.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - ]

    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline to a new O-ring, and then install the fuel pump spacer and O-ring to the fuel pump.

      *1 O-Ring
      *2 Fuel Pump Spacer
    2. Connect the fuel pump harness connector to install the fuel pump harness to the fuel pump.
    3. Install the fuel pump to the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the O-ring is not cut or pinched during the installation.

  2. INSTALL FUEL PUMP FILTER 
    1. Attach the claw to connect the fuel pump harness to the fuel pump filter.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the fuel pump filter.

    2. Attach the 3 claws to the claw holes to install the fuel pump filter to the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL SUB-TANK 
    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline to a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the jet pump.

      *1 Jet Pump
      *2 O-Ring
    2. Install the No. 2 fuel tank cushion to the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter), and then install the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter) to the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank and fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

    3. Attach the 2 claws to install the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter) to the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

    4. Connect the jet pump to the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cut or pinched during the installation.
      • Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
    5. Install a new fuel tank pipe setting holder.
    6. Attach the fuel pump harness clamp.
    7. Connect the 2 fuel pump harness connectors.
  4. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
