Installation [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL BACKUP RELAY 
    1. Attach the claw and install the backup relay to the relay block assembly.
    2. Connect the connector to the backup relay.
    3. Install the backup relay to the relay block assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

    4. Install the bolt and nut to the backup relay terminal.

      Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

    5. Attach the 3 claws and connect the relay block assembly to the luggage room relay block (luggage room relay block upper side).
    6. Attach the 6 claws and install the relay block lower cover to the luggage room relay block (luggage room relay block lower side).
    7. Attach the clamp and connect the 3 tie wraps the luggage room relay block (luggage room relay block lower side).
  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE ROOM RELAY BLOCK 
    1. w/ Dynamic Rear Steering:
      1. Pull down the lock lever and connect the connector of the DRS control ECU as shown in the illustration.

        *a Ground Wire Bolt
        *b Ground Wire
      2. Install the ground wire with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      3. Attach the 2 clamps and connect the luggage room relay block harness to the luggage room panel.
    2. Attach the 2 clamps and connect the luggage room relay block harness to the luggage room panel.
    3. Pull down the lock lever and connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

    4. Attach the 3 clamps and connect the luggage room relay harness to the luggage room panel.
    5. Install the relay block cover.
    6. Attach the clamp and claw to the luggage room relay block.
    7. Install the luggage room relay block with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    8. Connect the positive (+) sub-battery terminal to the sub-battery module assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 8.7 N.m (89 kgf/cm, 77 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER 

    See step  3

  4. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the battery carrier assembly to the luggage room panel with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 19.5 N.m (199 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER CATCH BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the battery carrier catch bracket sub-assembly to the luggage room panel with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH 

    See step  4

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL INNER LOWER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

  13. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

  14. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

  15. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX (w/o Air Suspension) 
    1. Install the luggage compartment trim box.
  16. INSTALL SIDE TRIM BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  18. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

  19. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

  20. INSTALL BATTERY

  22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  23. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
