Inspection [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2014 - ]

  2. INSPECT NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly (AWD Lock Mode Switch))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5(B) - 17(GND) ON Below 1 Ω
      OFF 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 combination switch assembly (AWD lock mode switch).

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the No. 2 combination switch assembly (AWD lock mode switch).

      *b No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly (AWD Lock Mode Switch) Illumination

      Standard

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → 15 (ILL-)
      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 combination switch assembly (AWD lock mode switch).
