Inspection [09/2014 - 01/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT WIPER DEICER SWITCH

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Front Wiper Deicer Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 - 9 Front wiper deicer switch on Below 25 Ω
      6 - 9 Front wiper deicer switch off 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.

    2. Check that the indicator light illuminates.

      *a Indicator Light
      *b Illumination
      *c Component without harness connected
      (Front Wiper Deicer Switch)

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 6
      Battery negative (-) → 10      		 Front wiper deicer switch indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.

    3. Check that the illumination illuminates.

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 8
      Battery negative (-) → 7      		 Front wiper deicer switch illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.
