Inspection [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT AWD LOCK SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Inspect the AWD lock switch:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (AWD Lock Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        5 (B) - 1 (GND) AWD lock switch pushed Below 50 Ω
        AWD lock switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the illumination:
      1. Apply battery voltage to the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) illuminates.

        *a Component without harness connected

        Standard

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).
