On-Vehicle Inspection [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. OPERATION CHECK 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump assembly.

      HINT: 

      See step  3

    • Connect the hose of the vacuum gauge to the vacuum pump assembly.

    • Put the engine in Inspection Mode (Maintenance Mode).

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Inspection Mode
    • Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.
    • With the engine idling, check the vacuum of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Standard Pressure

      If the pressure is less than the standard, disassemble and inspect the vacuum pump assembly. If necessary, replace the vacuum pump assembly.

      HINT: 

      Always perform this operation check procedure after replacing or servicing the vacuum pump assembly.

    Post-procedure1

    • Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump assembly.
    • Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump assembly.
