Engine Compression: 2.4L
- With engine cold, remove glow plugs. Install 2.4L adapter (019-00020) and Compressor Tester (19-00001) on cylinder to be checked. Use correct adapter so thread damage does not occur.
- Disconnect fuel cutoff solenoid valve wire on fuel injection pump to deactivate solenoid during testing. Crank engine and take reading when stabilized.
- Repeat test for each cylinder. If pressures are not within limits, repair components as required.
CAUTION:
Disconnect glow plug circuit at glow plug module to prevent shorting glow plugs when engine is cranked.
