Cold Start Advance Solenoid
The cold start advance solenoid, located on left side of injector pump housing, is activated by a temperature switch on cylinder head. The solenoid increases pressure inside injection pump housing, which advances timing. The temperature switch is activated below 86° F (30° C). See Fig 1 .
