Stator-To-Impeller Interference Check

  1. Position stator support assembly on a bench with spline end pointing up. Mount converter on stator support with splines on the one-way clutch engaging the splines on the stator support.
  2. Hold support stationary and try to rotate the converter both clockwise and counterclockwise. It should rotate freely without interference or scraping. If there is any indication of interference or scraping, replace the converter.
