Range Of Motion Test (Mark VIII)

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON or ACC position. Press self-test button. Each motor will be momentarily activated. Observe seat movement and listen for motor activation. Observe test LED, near connector receptacle at rear of module.
  2. After 5 flashes, during pause before following 2 flashes, move seat horizontally to original position. Move driver's seat switch either forward then backward or backward then forward. Move passenger's seat switch either forward, backward then forward or backward, forward then backward. System will then enter RANGE OF MOTION TEST.
  3. Driver's seat will move on each axis to its extreme limit. Each axis will be activated individually. At end of test, seat will move to original shipping position. Passenger's seat will only move to limits of its forward and backward travel. Other directional movement is not controlled by memory module. LED will flash 2 times to indicate a successful passenger's seat test. There is no LED indication for driver's seat test. If results are not as specified, replace module.
