Pinpoint Test DC
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect wire at oil pressure sender. Turn ignition on. Select oil pressure gauge function on multigauge. If gauge does not indicate low pressure with bottom bar lit, go to next step. If gauge indicates low pressure, replace oil pressure sender.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug wire to oil pressure sender. Measure resistance between disconnected wire and negative battery cable. If resistance is greater than 55 ohms, replace EIC. Repair short in White/Red wire to oil pressure sender if resistance is less than 55 ohms.
NOTE:
Driver alert tone will not sound if engine is not running. Seat belt alert will not sound if another sound is being generated at the same time.
