Test G - Alarm Light Does Not Work
- Connect a jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 15 of control module. If light turns on, go to next step. If light is off, check circuit No. 343 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire) for an open and repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Using a voltmeter, check voltage at control module terminal No. 1. If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 9 volts, check fuse and/or circuits No. 931 (Orange wire - Mark VIII) or No. 195 (Tan/White wire - Town Car) and retest system.
- Check voltage at control module terminal No. 4. If voltage is less than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 9 volts, check for short in circuit No. 294 (White/Light Blue wire - Town Car) or No. 296 (White/Pink wire - Mark VIII) and retest system.
- Open any door. Activate electric door lock switch. If warning light flashes then glows steadily, system is okay. If warning light does not flash or glow steadily, replace door lock switch and retest system.
