Power Lumbar Support Does Not Operate

1. Remove front seat back adjusting hose from pump. See Fig 1 . Operate control switch to inflate position. Air should be felt at pump opening. If air is felt, go to next step. If no air is felt, replace pump and retest system.
2. Reconnect hose to pump. Disconnect pump adjusting hose at control switch. Operate switch to inflate position. Air should be felt coming from open hose. If air is present, go to next step. If no air is present, repair hose and retest system.
3. Reconnect hose to switch. Disconnect adjuster hose at adjuster. See Fig 1 . Connect an in-line pressure gauge to hose. Operate control switch until pressure gauge reads 5 psi (.35 kg/cm² ). Pressure should hold for 3 hours. If pressure holds steady, system is okay. Reconnect hose and retest system. If pressure does not hold, go to next step.
4. Remove pressure gauge from hose line. Connect hand pump and pressure gauge to seat back pad adjuster. Inflate pad adjuster to 5 psi (.35 kg/cm² ). Pressure should hold for 3 hours. If pressure holds, replace control switch and retest system. If pressure does not hold, replace pad adjuster and retest system.
