Wiper Motor Current Test

1. Disengage wiper arm linkage from wiper motor. Unplug connectors from wiper motor. Using fused jumper wires, connect ammeter between positive battery terminal and Yellow/Red wire terminal on wiper motor. See Fig 1 .
2. Connect jumper wire from ground to Dark Blue/Orange wire terminal on wiper motor. Measure low speed current. Disconnect jumper wire from Dark Blue/Orange wire terminal. Connect jumper wire from ground to White wire terminal on wiper motor. Measure high speed current. In low speed test, current should not exceed 3.5 amps. In high speed test, current should not exceed 5.5 amps. Replace motor if current exceeds specification.
