Steering Wheel Sensor Test

Code 13 will appear indicating system has asked if scan tester operator would like to perform steering wheel sensor test. To command system to perform steering wheel sensor test, unlatch HOLD/TEST button for at least one second and relatching button within 8 seconds. Once test is entered, vehicle must remain stationary. Open and close all doors. EVO control module will wait 30 seconds for technician to rotate steering wheel at least 40 degrees in one direction only. If steering wheel rotation is not detected within this 30 seconds, Code 74 will appear. If steering wheel sensor is operating properly, Code 11 will appear indicating test passed. If Code 74 appears, go to TEST J  under TROUBLE CODE TESTS.
