- Measure resistance in wires between DSM harness connector C313 and passenger mirror harness connector C615. See PASSENGER POTENTIOMETER CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION table. If all resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If any resistance reading is more than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire.PASSENGER POTENTIOMETER CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
DSM Terminal No. Mirror Terminal No. Wire Color 11 4 Dark Green/White 12 1 Purple/White 13 3 Gray 15 2 Gray/Red - Measure voltage at terminal No. 1 (Purple/White wire), No. 2 (Gray/Red wire), No. 3 (Gray wire) and No. 4 (Dark Green/White wire) at passenger mirror harness connector C615. If voltage does not exist at any terminal, go to step 16). If voltage exists at any terminal, repair short to voltage in appropriate wire.
- Disconnect DSM harness connector C313, driver mirror harness connector C523 and passenger mirror harness connector C615. Measure resistance in Gary/Red wire between terminal No. 15 at DSM and terminal No. 2 at both mirror harness connectors. Also measure resistance in Gray wire between terminal No. 13 at DSM harness connector C313 and terminal No. 3 at both mirror harness connectors. If all resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If any resistance reading is more than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire.
