Test C: Memory Mirror Inoperative From Remote Transmitter
- Place transmission in Park. Turn ignition switch off. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to data link connector. Retrieve and record DTCs. Clear continuous DTCs. Perform Driver Seat Module (DSM) on-demand self-test. If no DSM DTCs were retrieved during self-test, go to next step. If any DSM DTCs were retrieved during self-test, perform appropriate test. See DSM DTC DEFINITIONS table under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Remote Anti-Theft Personality (RAP) module 22-pin harness connector. Disconnect memory switch harness connector. Measure resistance in Brown/Light Green wire between RAP module 22-pin harness connector terminal No. 6 and memory switch harness connector terminal No. 3. See Figure and Figure . Also, measure resistance in Black/Orange wire between RAP module 22-pin harness connector terminal No. 18 and memory switch harness connector terminal No. 4. If either resistance reading is greater than 5 ohms, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire. If both resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, diagnose remote keyless entry system concern.
