Removal And Installation: Radiator: Installation

  1. Install the radiator.
    1. Install the radiator mounting insulators.
    2. Position the radiator on the radiator mounting insulators.
    3. Position the brackets and the jack handle and wheel nut wrench retainers (17A038).
    4. Install the bolts.

  2. Install the degas hose to the radiator.
    1. Release the clamp.
    2. Slide the hose onto the radiator fitting.

  3. Connect the lower radiator hose and upper radiator hose (8260).
    1. Push the hose onto quick connect fitting.
    2. Bend the locking tab into retaining slot.

    4. NOTE: To avoid disturbing the transmission oil cooler fittings, use a backup wrench.

  4. Connect the transmission fluid cooler lines.
    1. Connect the lower transmission fluid cooler line.
    2. Connect the upper transmission fluid cooler line.
  5. Install the fan blade. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN  in this article.
