Transfer Case: Installation

- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new transfer case-to -transmission mounting gasket.
- Fill the transfer case. For additional information, refer to TRANSFER CASE DRAINING AND FILLING and to SPECIFICATIONS for the correct type and quantity of fluid.
- Tighten the transfer case-to -transmission bolts evenly in a star pattern.
- Make sure the torsion bar adjuster bolt measurement is equal to the measurement taken during removal.
- Check the ride height and adjust as necessary. For additional information, refer to SUSPENSION SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Check the wheel alignment and adjust as necessary. For additional information, refer to SUSPENSION SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
