Test J: Traction Control Inoperative (2001 Models)
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect traction control connector. Measure resistance between a good ground and traction control switch connector Black wire. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, install new traction control switch. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
- Measure resistance between traction control switch terminals, while depressing traction control switch. If resistance less than 5 ohms, install new electronic control unit (ECU). Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, install new traction control switch. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABCM connector. Connect breakout box. Measure resistance between breakout box pin No. 17 and traction control switch connector Green/White wire. If resistance less than 5 ohms, install new electronic control unit (ECU). Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair traction control switch connector Green/White wire. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
