Programming Using 2 Programmed Keys
NOTE:
This procedure only works if 2 or more keys are already programmed, 2 of the programmed keys are available and PCM PID SPARE_KEY is enabled. See SPARE KEY PROGRAMMING SWITCH
. A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed. The number of programmed keys can be determined by accessing PCM PID NUMKEYS with NGS tester.
Insert first programmed key into ignition switch. Turn ignition switch to START position for one second. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove key. Within 5 seconds insert second programmed ignition key into ignition switch and turn ignition switch to RUN position for one second. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove key. Within 5 seconds insert ignition key to be programmed into ignition switch and turn ignition switch to RUN position for one second. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove key. Repeat procedure to program any remaining keys, up to a maximum of 8 keys. Vehicle should now start with new ignition key(s).
