Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the screws and lower the instrument panel steering column cover (04459).

  2. Reposition the instrument panel finish panel (044D70).
    • Remove the screw.
    • Disengage the clips and reposition the instrument panel finish panel away from the instrument panel (04320).

  3. Push in on the retaining tabs and remove the automatic temperature control sensor hose and elbow (19D888) from the instrument panel finish panel. To remove the in-car temperature sensor (19C734), push in on the retaining tabs and remove from the trim panel.

  4. Remove the screws and reposition the radio chassis (18806).

  5. Remove the screws and pull the electronic automatic temperature control module from the instrument panel.

  6. Remove the electronic automatic temperature control module.
    • Remove the nuts and the vacuum harness connector.
    • Remove the electrical connectors and remove the electronic automatic temperature control module.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
