Section 239 (Engine-3.0L): Removal: Engine: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, Refer to BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM .
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  4. Release the fuel system pressure. For additional information, Refer to FUEL SYSTEM .
  5. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  6. Discharge the A/C system. For additional information, Refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM .
  7. Remove the clean air inlet duct. For additional information, Refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM .
  8. Remove the drive shaft. For additional information, Refer to DRIVELINE SYSTEM .
  9. Remove the exhaust system. For additional information, Refer to EXHAUST STEM .
  10. Remove the RH and LH inner fender splash shields.
  11. Remove the front splash shield.
  12. Remove the RH and LH subframe splash shields.
