Front Impact Severity Sensor: Installation

    WARNING: The tightening torque of the air bag front impact severity sensor retaining bolts is critical for correct system operation.

  1. Install the front impact severity sensor.
    1. Position the passenger side front impact severity sensor.
    2. Install the front impact severity sensor bolts.
    3. Connect the electrical connector.
    4. Connect the two horn electrical connectors (one shown) (RH only).
    5. Position the horn assembly (RH only).
    6. Install the horn bracket bolt (RH only).
  2. Position the header opening panel. Install the pin-type retainers.

  3. Repower the system. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
